I had a morning off before work, so I decided to take myself on a little date! I’ve been hearing great things about Radio Bakery, and since they have a location near Prospect Park, it felt like the perfect time to finally check it out.
As I stepped out of the station, I immediately noticed how windy and cold it was—despite the sun being out! I turned onto the block where the bakery is, and to my surprise… there was no line. Could I be lucky?? I’ve heard it’s usually packed. Well… turns out they were closed today. I probably should’ve checked ahead, but oh well—just another reason to come back next time!

I wandered over to Prospect Park, and the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. It’s so beautiful this time of year. I spent some time strolling, watching dogs running around, bird watching, and just enjoying the spring scenery.

I checked the time, and started heading towards the train station. On the way, I was admiring the neighborhood—the brownstones, colorful doors, and all the cute little shops and restaurants.

I opened Google Maps and found a bakery called Simple Loaf Bakehouse. The pastries look so good, I picked up a Pasteis de Nata and an Irish Soda Scone!

I also wanted to get coffee, and I found Enso Cafe on the map and made that my final stop. The atmosphere was super cozy, and the interior was really pretty. I got a cappuccino and loved it. Highly recommend if you’re ever in the area!
